António Godinho da Fonseca has a degree in Psychology and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences by the University of Porto. He is associated lecturer in Psychology in the Educacion and Psycology School of the Catholic University of Portugal (UCP) and coordinator of the masters of Social Applied Gerontology in the Philosophy and Social Sciences School, UCP. He is also an integrated member of the Studies in Human Development Centre, I&D unit of the Catholic University of Portugal and a collaborator member of the Age.Comm - Interdisciplinary Research Functional Aged Communities Unit, I&D unit of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. On his scientific activity and as a lecturer he dedicates himself to questions of psychologic development and the ageing process. He is author of several books, book chapters and scientific articles, published in Portugal and in the foreigner, from the following areas: Psychologic Development, Psychology of Ageing, Retirement, Psychological Well-Being, Health and Quality of Life.
