Henrique Gil, Senior Lecturer at the School of Education – Polytechnic of Castelo Branco has as main field of research «Applied Digital Technologies». Has a PhD from the School of Education - University of Exeter (UK) in the area of "ICT in Education". Holds a Post-Doctorate in Social Sciences in the area of specialization in Social Policies by the Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Works as Institutional Coordinator of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco for e-Learning and is the District Coordinator of Castelo Branco in the "TIC & Society Network" of the Foundation for Science and Technology. Has been conducting doctoral theses and master's degrees in digital literacy and infoinclusion. Is a member of editorial boards of International Journals and is a member of Scientific Committees of several International Congresses – ICT. Is the author of books, chapters of books and articles in national and international journals. Develops research activities as an integrated member of the Research and Development Unit «AGE.COMM - Interdisciplinary Research Unit for Aged Functional Communities» of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco and is also collaborator of «CAPP - Centre for Administration and Public Policy» and the «Centre for Research in Education» both from the University of Lisbon.
